It is time for the tax payers in Terryville and Port Jefferson Station to vote as one. The areasRead More mentioned in the article (Belle Terre, Mount Sinai as well as Stony Brook, East Setauket, etc.) have voted as one voice for a long time and they get what they want as a result. If you Don't support our rights as tax payers to decide what is best for our quality of life and property value then we don't support you on election day. There are two major projects currently taking place in Terryville and Port Jefferson Station, they are the "Main Street Cultural and Economic Development Plan" and the "HUB Study". Both plans are very important to the area. The "Tax Payers and Residents of Terryville and Port Jefferson Station" are not going to support the life styles of developers who live in high income areas by allowing them to build garbage projects in our hamlets and make a profit doing so. If the projects are so great the developers should build them in their own hamlets and villages. I say to all developers who don't want to work with us, "the store is closed". Also, for those residents who prefer to complain and not get involved in the community, there are many communities in Brookhaven where you can wallow in self pity, but Terryville and Port Jefferson Station are no longer on that list. Shut off the television, get off the chair and get involved. Thanks to Joan, Tim and Sheila for the article. P.S. Just a quick note Councilman Fiore- Rosenfeld is not running for reelection, he did a great job for our area during his time in office. We now have a resident and tax payer from Port Jefferson Station running for the Council Seat in our district, just thought I would mention that. How great would it be to have one of our neighbors representing us at Town Hall. Stay well.

Thank you Joan for putting the residents thoughts on the subject into words! No workfrce housing, noRead More water treatment operations for the priveliged few! It is time the residents of Terryville and PJS stand up and say enough with everyone throwing their garbage into our town - Lou Antoniello is right, if these projects are so great let the well to do developers put them in their towns! BTW the golf course are there for ANYONE who would like to use them, it is your choice - workforce and the water treatment doesn't have the same option.
