UPDATE: Power Restored Following Thursday Morning Rain

Customers expected to get lights back on around 1:30 p.m.

Update, 2:15 p.m.: Power has been restored in the area.

Original story:
One hundred Long Island Power Authority customers are without power early Thursday afternoon following fierce rain and thunder, prompting a flood advisory by the National Weather Service.

According to LIPA's outage map – which was, itself, not operable for part of Thursday morning – 86 customers in the Terryville area, between Jayne Boulevard and Route 112, are without power. And another 14 near West Broadway in Port Jefferson are awaiting electric.

Both have estimated restoration times of 1:30 p.m.

Just over 400 customers are estimated to be without power across Long Island, according to LIPA.

The flood advisory issued by the NWS expires at 12:15 p.m.
