Area Guide to Memorial Day Parades

Looking for a way to celebrate Memorial Day? Our neighbors have the perfect parades.

Many area towns will be celebrating Memorial Day with a parade. Here’s where you can salute our veterans around town.

Setauket

Each year on Memorial Day, Setauket's Veterans of Foreign Wars post 3054 sponsors Three Village's Memorial Day parade.

As in past years, the parade will kick off at the village green near Setauket Presbyterian Church and the library at 11 a.m., and will travel down Main Street to head east on Route 25A. The Three Village Historical Society has posted a map of the parade route. So put on your most patriotic attire and head down to the parade to honor the men and women who have served this country during wartime.

St. James

Sgt. John W. Cooke VFW Post 395. Parade starts at Woodland and Lake Avenue, Monday at 10 a.m. Parde route heads north to St. James Elementary School for Memorial Day services.

Smithtown

Knights of Columbus. Parade begins at noon on Monday on Main Street from Singer Lane to town hall.

American Legion Post 944. Parade kicks off at 9 a.m. on Monday at RJO Intermediate School. Parade proceeds west on Old Dock Road and then east on Main Street to Veterans Plaza at Church and Main Street.

Commack

VFW Elwood-Commack Post 9263. Parade starts in Home Depot parking lot at 9 a.m. then heads east on Jericho Turnpike to Veterans Memorial at Jericho Turnpike and Veterans Memorial Highway.
