Port Jefferson Station resident, Dina Simoes-Rodrigues, was driving on Nesconset Highway, also known as Route 347, Friday morning.

Simoes-Rodrigues was traveling west approaching the Terryville Road Intersection when she snapped the above photo.

*Correction: Nesconset Highway is a state road and any issues with construction, potholes, and/or snow would have to be handled through the New York State Department of Transportation.

I'd love to hear a Town Of Brookhaven Highway Department explanation as to why 347 in Smithtown is always drastically better after a snowstorm than it is in Brookhaven. Been that way forever and there is no excuse!!!

NYS DOT does snow removal on Rt. 347, so your question, while valid, should be directed to the State.
