Why Go: The Sound Symphony, conducted by Dorothy Savitch,  will present its Fall concert at Comsewogue High School Auditorium. The program incluses Bernstein Overture to Candide, Prokofiev Violin concerto #2 with 2011 solo competition winner, violinist Naoko Tajima and Beethoven Symphony #2.

Price: $10 for adults, $5 for students&  seniors, children under 12 are free.

Where/When: , Sunday, Nov. 20 from 1 to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Learn about pairing wines for your Thanksgiving table. Vine 2 Wine will feature a full Thanksgiving meal tasting with 12 wines, six white wines and six red wines. The six white wines are Mirth chardonnay, Walter Hansel sauvignon blanc, Bohigas Cava Brut, Domaine Du Haut Bourg muscadet 2010, Quinta do Feital Alvarinho-Trajudura" Auratus 2010, and Albrente Albarino Napa 2010. The six red wines are Sean Minor pinot noir 2009, Domaine Jean David Cotes du Rhone 2009, Mors Moris Morellino Di Scansano 2009, Orwin Swift Abstract 2010, Lezcano-Lacalle Maudes 2008 and Graffito malbec. Live music being from 3 to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy this 28th anniversary production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol at Theatre Three. Please note performance times vary each day, please contact theatre box office for details.

Price: $14 and up.

Where/When: Port Jefferson Village Center, Sunday, Nov. 20 at 5 p.m.

Why Go: Opening of "A Sense of the Past: Watercolors by the Night Heron Artists." Refreshments will be served. The exhibit will include more than 120 watercolors by the Night Herons, a group of area artists who meet weekly and paint together at the Village Center.

Price: Free Admission
