"The older part of this house built by Abither Gerard has locust tree trunks supporting the basement," reads the historical society's description. "The Capt. Charles E. Tooker family owned the house from 1917 until 1992. Mike Stillman, architect, redesigned the house to include a full portico with paired pediment dormer windows and an elegant 'Union Jack' stick style balustrade on the upper balcony."
