Heritage Park Christmas Tree Lit for the Season

Annual lighting held at Heritage Park.

The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Heritage Park was held Dec. 2, and the tree is now lit for the season.

A subject hotly debated last season, the tree was officially called a Christmas Tree this year after community members made the decision via a survey sent by the Heritage Trust.

Hosted by the Heritage Trust and the Mount Sinai Fire Department, the annual event included Christmas carols and a special visit from Santa.

“The Mt. Sinai Heritage Christmas Tree Lighting event brings our community together, and shines the light on our treasured volunteers who deserve our gratitude for their hard work,” said Legis. Sarah Anker. “Please consider donating or volunteering this holiday season. It’s the most valuable gift we can give.”

The Heritage Trust will host its annual Menorah Lighting to start Hannukah on Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. in the park.
