Historical Picture Shows Old Mill Creek Improvements From 1974
We asked you to guess where this historical photo was taken.
This picture was taken of part of the work being done for the Old Mill Creek Improvement Project in Port Jefferson Village back in May 1974.
The work "remediated and beautified the watershed behind Village Hall," according to Village Historian Ken Brady.
This photo is from the Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson Collection but unfortunately the original picture taker is unknown. You can find this photo and thousands more in the official Port Jefferson Historical Archive on the village website.
