Make Fondue for Two Tonight

A romantic recipe to try tonight from the executive chef at Wave restaurant.

The most adventurous will be staying home for Valentines Day. If you're still searching for that perfect menu item to prepare for your paramour tonight then look no further because Port Jefferson Patch is hooking you up. What better way to heat up your night than serving fondue?

Cupid’s Cheese Fondue for Two
by Executive Chef Paul Govin, Wave Restaurant

(Prep Time: About 30 Minutes)

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup White Wine

½ Tbs Butter

½ Tbs All Purpose Flour

3 1/2 Ounces Gruyere Cheese

3 1/2 Ounces Beemster Dutch or Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese

3 1/2 Ounces High Quality Swiss Cheese

1 Clove Garlic Crushed

½ Tbs Worcestershire Sauce

You can prepare a variety of items for dipping. Anything from traditional breads, pretzels, meats, and veggies.

Method:

*Cube all the cheese. Bring wine to boil in a small sauce pan. In a medium sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat, add flour and whisk continuously for 5 minutes. Add garlic and slowly add cheeses while stirring continuously until completely melted. Add Worcestershire. Transfer to a fondue pot and keep warm over a low flame.
