Dog Missing Since November Spotted

Marcy was spotted in Port Jefferson Village after taking off on Nov. 26

Kathy Devlin-Huber gave some great news when she said Marcy had been sighted today. "There has been a Marcy sighting," Devlin-Huber said excitedly. "[She] was seen in the same area but about two blocks over. I got a text this morning from a neighbor that their daughter saw her in a garbage can. I had people there since 9am. They hit the area with flyers, talked to neighbors, knocked on doors, and drove all over the area."

Marcy was recently adopted on Nov. 26 from Last Chance Animal Rescue. Shortly after her adoption, she was in the back yard and jumped the fence, taking off near William Street in Port Jefferson.

Although this is great news, Devlin-Huber said spotters still need to be careful when and if they see her. "We just want to remind everyone that Marcy is acting like a feral dog and will not come to you, she will flee if approached, so if you spot her please do not chase, please call or text 516-343-2636.
