Updated: Occupy Port Jeff Protesters Take to Main Street [PHOTOS]

People came out to a protest in Port Jefferson on Saturday afternoon.

They're mad as hell and they're not going to take it anymore. That was the who stood at the corner of Main Street and Broadway on Saturday as they protested everything from perpetual war to healthcare costs.

“I–as I believe most Americans are–am concerned and outraged at the economic situation,” said Juan Gallardo who orgazined the Occupy Port Jefferson event through a Meetup.com campaign to bring support for the Occupy Wall Street protesters to Main Streets all over the country.

He said that he shares the anger and frustration of the Wall Street protesters in a lack of jobs, enormous debt, foreclosures, falling income as health care costs are on the rise and college fees also ever increasing.

The protest started at noon with a handful of people but grew to a small crowd of sign wielding activists who wanted to be a part of the movement.
