Photo of the Day: Tending the Model Trains
Michael Tarquinio helps make sure the model train set in Belle Terre is in tip top shape.
We visited the the and captured Michael Tarquinio, 14, as he tended the set making sure the trains were running on time.
Tarquinio, of Nesconset, said he came to the center to see the trains one day and started talking to the organizers about it. He has his own model trains, but he said they are nothing like the set up in Belle Terre.
He said he first started getting interested in model trains because his mother is a conductor on the Long Island Rail road.
