Maria Iovino sent us this note honoring her special veteran from Port Jefferson Station.
"We are very proud of all our veterans, but especially our daughter Specialist E-4 Laura Iovino, from Port Jefferson Station," she said.
Iovino went into the Army after graduating from Comsewogue High School in 2006 and served in South Korea for a year. She is now attending college and works as an EMT.
