Port J-E-T-S: Where to Watch the Big Game This Sunday

Some suggestions on where to go to watch the big Jets game against the Steelers this Sunday.

After upsetting the much despised New England Patriots last weekend, the Jets will look to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh and conquer their final road block to the Super Bowl.

There are many great places in Port Jefferson to watch the game with good food, good drinks, and good people.  Here are the best places to go. Game time is at 6:30 p.m.

Tommy’s Place in Port Jefferson Village is a great place to watch a game.  Tommy’s place has 35 high definition televisions so every seat in the house has a good view.  Drink specials feature $3 Budweiser, Bud Lite, and Miller Lite pints.  There will also be 20 cent wings and a raffle for a 46 inch 3d LED television by Samsung.  Radio station WRCN will be broadcasting live from Tommy’s Place beginning at halftime.

“The energy and excitement level is so high during the game that whether you are a fan or not you will find yourself chanting J-E-T-S,” said Cindy, manager of Tommy's Place.

Eldorado American Grill has 12 high definition televisions ranging in size from 42 to 60 inches.  Appetizer specials include $5.99 orders of wings, nachos, cheese fries, mozzarella sticks, and buffalo pizza.  Drink specials include $4 domestic tap beers and $8 buckets of Rolling Rock.

Billie’s 1890 Saloon features 15 cent wings and constantly changing drink specials.  There are several nice high definition televisions to watch the game this Sunday.

Cattlemen’s Steakhouse and Saloon has several high definition televisions at the bar to watch the game. Food and drink specials are constantly changing. Check the website for details.

The Old Port Pub

With several high definition televisions and constantly changing food and drink specials, The Old Port Pub is another good option for this Sunday’s football festivities.

Tara Inn is known locally for having the best (and cheap) burgers in and around town. Couple that with the most important Jet’s game in years and you have a recipe for a good time.

Grumpy Jack's is a real sports bar with excellent drink specials. $2 Miller bottles offered all the time. $12 for a four bottle bucket of domestic beer during football games.

Hurricane Grill and Wings

Hurricane Grill and Wings is a popular Florida chain that is new to Long Island.  Lots of wing and drink specials accompany several high definition televisions at this restaurant and bar.
