Port Jeff Country Club Hosts Golf Intercollegiate
Event will showcase young, up-and-coming golfers in the country.
Port Jefferson Country Club will host the Intercollegiate Sunday and Monday. The tournament features nine Division 2 teams playing a 36 hole event, showcasing young, up-and-coming golfers in the country.
The golf invitational is the first of its kind for PJCC and is co-hosted by Adelphi University in Garden City and St. Thomas Aquinas in Sparkhill, NY. The remaining eight teams come from the northeast area and many have qualified for NCAA tournaments in the past.
Jantzen Vargas, Head Coach at Adelphi University and Assistant Pro at PJCC said, “We are excited to be hosting this competitive tournament at an established club like PJCC. We look forward to some great golf, good weather and a wonderful event.”
