  • Friday Night Face-Off is an improv comedy night at Theater Three starting at 10 p.m. ($15).

  • Enjoy the weekly Farmer’s Market in downtown Port Jefferson on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Live Music

    • Head to Port Jazz for cover band action on Friday at 9 p.m. with X-Session and Saturday at 9 p.m. with Copycat Band.

    • Head to Theater Three on Friday night at 8 p.m. for a tribute to The Doors and Janis Joplin ($30).

  • Jay & the Americans will perform at Theater Three on Saturday at 8 p.m. ($45).

  • Theater Three will also host a tribute to The Eagles and James Taylor at 7 p.m. on Sunday ($30).

  • Food & Drink

    • Port Jazz has half-price drink specials from 8 p.m. to midnight on Thursday with a DJ.

    • The Maritime Explorium is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with additional summer hours during the week on Wednesday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

    Live Music

    • Catch live country music at DEKS Saturday at 9 p.m. as Stagecoach Junction performs.

    • Hindenberg, the ‘Ultimate Led Zeppelin Musical Showcase’, will be rocking out Napper Tandy’s Saturday at 10 p.m. There will be drink specials all night.

    • Travis McKeveny showcases his talents at Crazy Beans in Miller Place Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m.

    Food & Drink

    • Celebrate Belgian Independence all weekend at DEKS Friday all day and night with $2 off all Belgian Beers.

    • Join Crazy Beans in Miller Place for Happy Hour from 4-7 and live music from Ron Gross starting at 7 p.m. And on Sunday they will be serving mimosas for brunch.

    Recreation

    • It’s a big weekend in Sound Beach. There is an arts & crafts sale at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Park as well as community-wide open houses and garage sales on Friday and Saturday.
    Three Village

    • The Stony Brook Film Festival continues with films on Friday night, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday afternoon and evening. Visit www.stonybrookfilmfestival.com for details.

    • Old Field Farm presents a free outdoor movie, The Quiet Man starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night. Bring a blanket or beach chair along with a picnic and flashlight; subject to change depending on weather conditions.

    • On Thursday evening at 6 p.m., families can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides around the Stony Brook village community for $3 per person. Meet near Robinson’s Tea Room in the village center.

    Athletic

    • World Gym Setauket is hosting Ivan Lendl, eight-time Grand Slam tennis champion, on Saturday in a three-hour event filled with tennis games and autographs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Click here for more details.

    Benefit

    • On Friday at 6 p.m., World Gym Setauket is hosting a cocktail party and charity auction to benefit the Junior Champions Foundation, which provides opportunities internationally for young people’s advancement in the world of tennis. Cost is $20 for ages 14 and older; adult cash bar will be available.

    Cultural

    • The Three Village Historical Society will offer a “Down the Ways” historical walk around Setauket Harbor starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Meet at the Shore Road dock; click here for more details.

    • The Ward Melville Heritage Organization is offering a new exhibit: “Long Island’s Auto Racing Heritage,” with hours Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Educational and Cultural Center ($2-$4 admission).

    Live Music

    • The “Wind Down Sundays” summer music series at Frank Melville Memorial Park continues with a free performance by vocalist Charmaine at 5:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or beach chairs.
    • You’ll also find a free outdoor performance on the village green in the Stony Brook Village Center on Sundays, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This week’s performance is by Ed DeCorsia and New York’s Most Dangerous Big Band (swing and jazz).
