Port Jefferson Resident $2,000 Away From Reaching Goal For Haiti Help

Send in donations to help Haiti after their devastating earthquake

Gianna Marie Bottone, from Port Jefferson Station, has decided to take a stand to raise money to help fund those who are still suffering in Haiti. So far they have raised a little over $1,000 but are hoping to reach as high as $3,000.

The page says:

Two years ago when the devastating earthquake struck Haiti, so many families lost so many things. Some lost family, some lost possessions, and most lost their homes. The girls above are the Alexis Sister's. I, Gianna, have sponsored Taina (far left) since she was two years old. During hurricane Issac Taina and her family lost what was remaining of their home and washed out most of their possessions. In the upcoming months Taina is turning five years of age, and for her birthday Taina has asked me to rebuild her house. I have been working with the organization Heart (formerly known as Wings Over Haiti) for almost three years, and have grown very attached to Taina and her family. It would mean the world to me and the Alexis's if I could rebuild her house, and I am relying on all of you to help me! thank you so much for your support! xoxo Gianna
