Port Jefferson Storm Center: Snow Fall, Closings, Alerts

Snow Totals:
According to the National Weather Service, Port Jefferson got 10.5 inches of snow.

Weather.com is reporting that Port Jefferson received 14.4 inches.

Closings:

Comsewogue School District:

School is closed on Wednesday. No daycare will be available. 

Port Jefferson School District:

Due to the snow storm the Port Jefferson Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday January 22nd. There will be no afternoon or evening activities.

Mount Sinai School District:

School is closed on Wednesday due to inclement weather.

Snow Emergency from The Town of Brookhaven:

Driving conditions are expected to be extremely hazardous throughout this evening and tomorrow morning, due to the expected accumulation of 8” to 14” of snow. Town snow removal crews will be working throughout the night to clear the roads until all are safe and passable. 

Residents should call 451-TOWN to report snow related issues. Call 911 for police, fire and ambulance emergencies only. For non-emergency police issues, call 631-852-2677. To report a power outage or downed wires, call PSEG at 800-436-7734 or go to www.psegliny.com to make a report online.
