June 14 is Flag Day, celebrating the adoption of the flag of the United States by Congress in 1777.

Tuesday is Flag Day, where Americans celebrate the adoption of the American flag by Congress on June 14, 1777. All over the United States people will be displaying Old Glory, the Star and Stripes or Star Spangled Banner as the flag of the United States is variously known.
