Shelter Animal of the Week: Stop by the Mad Catter Tea Party and Meet Rose

Five year old Rose will be waiting at this weekend's Mad Catter Tea Party where the adoption fee will be waived when you adopt any cat over the age of four.

in Port Jefferson Station is hosting its this weekend, March 4 through 6, to promote adoption of its feline residents. During that time the adoption fee for cats over the age of four will be waived and cat spays and neuters will be offered at neighboring C.L.I.F.F.S Clinic for a discounted $50 per cat, which includes a rabies and distemper vaccine.

One cat that will be seen at the Mad Catter Tea Party is Rose, a five year old domestic short hair calico with beautiful markings. She came to the shelter through no fault of her own as her owner could no longer care for her. Now, this sweet, friendly cat waits to be taken to a home where she could be given lots of affection and have a comfy bed and windows to look out.

Rose would be great as a member of any family, including those with children and other pets. Rose does have special needs, though, as she is diabetic and requires two insulin shots daily, which are simple to administer.
