Shelter Pet of the Week: Meet Larry

Larry is a seven year old cocker spaniel who just needs a tennis ball and some people to love.

Larry is a handsome golden-haired cocker spaniel who is looking for the family of his dreams while he waits at of Port Jefferson Station.

At seven years old, Larry is still very athletic and loves to go for walks. Shelter staff describe him as a “rough and tumble” kind of guy.

Cocker Spaniels typically do well with children, as they are gentle, easily entertained by a game of catch, and do not grow to be large (unless you do not monitor their diet). They are very obedient and eager to learn, so although Larry is older, he would still love to learn basic commands with his new master. Since his coat is long, it's important that his owner keep him groomed.
