It was a crisp and clear fall day for the 2nd Annual "Spooktacular" Harvest Festival in Port Jefferson village on Sunday. The crowds turned out and by some accounts it may have topped last year's. (The Village Center sold out of pumpkins to decorate by about 3 p.m.)
"Successful event, very nice. Three times more crowded than last year," wrote Ed Cosgrove on Facebook. "Perfect weather and some nice chowder. Some nasty chowder too, but mostly good."
Along with a chowder crawl there was outdoor music, crafts at the Village Center and a costumed doggie parade on East Main Street.
