Terryville Teen Achieves Eagle Scout Rank

William G. Rudelmier also receives praise from Brookhaven town supervisor.

Not only has William G. Rudelmier of Terryville achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, but the head of Brookhaven Town was there to celebrate with him.

“Eagle Scouts are the leaders of tomorrow, and from what I can tell by William’s
achievements and community service, our future will be in good hands,” said Ed Romaine, Brookhaven supervisor, who attended the new Eagle Scout's Court of Honor at the Terryville Fire House..

For his service project, William built custom park benches at Comsewogue High School for students to sit on while they are waiting for a bus or a ride home.

Since the origin of the award in 1912, Eagle Scout honors have only been given to 4 percent of all Scouts.
