According to organizer Nomi Solo the "had the perfect day on Saturday" as hundreds of people came to the to view demonstrations on recycling and learn about Global Water Brigades, a humanitarian effort by Stony Brook University students to work with Honduran communities that have limited access to clean water.
There was a water-themed music performance by the students and Mayor Margot Garant presented David Johnson of Coastal Steward with a proclamation for his work to clean the harborfront beaches.
