Concert, Kids' Show, Postponed Until Next Week

"Mother Nature is at it again."

Though rainfall ended in the area by early afternoon, the ferocity of the rain forced the village rec department to postpone yet another outdoor concert and children's show, which was previously scheduled for Thursday night.

Instead, the Beatles' Magical Orchestra and Cheryl, the Circus Performer, will go on next Thursday – same time, same place.

Cheryl will go on at the barn behind village hall at 6:30 p.m., and the music starts on the ferry dock at 8 p.m.

Earlier in the day, hard rain, thunder and lightning led to about 400 power outages across Long Island, including 100 in the Port Jeff area. The local outages were restored by 2:15 p.m.
