PHOTO: Burmese Refugee Talks About Homeland During Port Jeff Doc Series Season Finale

"They Call It Myanmar" exposed life inside the small nation.

Amagansett resident Htun Han, a Burmese Refugee, spoke to an audience who came out to see the film "They Call It Myanmar" in the season finale of the Port Jefferson Documentary Series at the Wang Center in Stony Brook University.

Robert Lieberman, the film's creator, gives an uncensored look at inside the small country.

"Speaking after the film, real estate executive Htun Han of Amagansett offered personal reactions to the movie and recalled growing up in one of the world's most tightly-controlled police states," said Strugatch in a statement after the showing.

Htun and his wife Khin left Burma (now called Myanmar) in 1978 and became citizens of the United States seven years later.
