The Port Jefferson Documentary Film Series continued on Monday night at Theatre Three with the showing of "The Invisible War," a 2012 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award winning movie. A statement promoting the film says it is "a moving exposé of the existence of military sex crimes, chronicling the military women’s struggles to rebuild their lives and fight for justice."
The film also won the U.S. Documentary Nestor Award for Courage in Film Making at the 2012 Human Rights Watch Film Festival and the Silver Heart Award at the Dallas International Film Festival.
