Port Jeff Art Teacher Demos Art of Wood Carving at Winterfest

Port Jefferson art teacher Richard Anderson spent the day at the Heart Warming Winterfest showing off his wood carving talents for residents.

Demonstrating the art work he does when he's not teaching kids at Edna Louise Spear Elementary School, art teacher Richard Anderson spent the day in Port Jefferson on Saturday during the carving angels and bears from tree stumps and logs with his chainsaws. Anderson also allowed some of his students to carve wooden signs with their names as he taught them to use some of the tools of his trade. See below for our video of Anderson as he worked.
