Middle Schoolers Prep and Primp for Back to School

Students gear up for a new year.

Members of the Port Jefferson faculty, administration, Board of Education and PTSA gathered to greet incoming sixth-grade students at the district’s annual back-to-school barbecue on Aug. 22.

According to the school district website, attendees were introduced to Port Jefferson Middle School Principal Antonio Santana who welcomed students to their new setting.

“I am looking forward to getting to know this class,” Santana said. “It’s going to be a great year.”

Friends and family members lined the hallways as students decorated their lockers in preparation for the first day of classes.
