Cops: Substitute Teacher Had Sexual Relationship With Student

Suffolk County police have arrested a Mt. Sinai man whom they say had a sexual encounter with a 16-year-old student earlier this year while working as a substitute teacher at Eastport South Manor High School.

Allan Concepcion, 38, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with third-degree rape, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Police said Concepcion also works as the junior varsity volleyball coach at Eastport South Manor High School, and is also employed as a substitute teacher and gymnastics coach at Hampton Bays Middle School.

Concepcion will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
