From Miller Place-Rocky Point: Beers, Burgers & Desserts Opens up in Rocky Point

The name says it all: Beers, Burgers & Desserts.

"Because, who doesn't love beers, burgers and desserts?" asked Jessica Weiss, manager at the new joint on Route 25A that opened up on Monday, filling the shoes of the space that previously held Anthony Joseph's and Fatty Beltbuckles.

Beers Burgers & Desserts – conversationally abbreviated to "BBDs" on its Facebook page and website – is, unsurprisingly, touting hand-crafted burgers, an extensive list of craft beers on a 22-draught system plus bottles, as well as a dessert menu created and run by chef Ralph Perrazzo, who has worked in New York City, Las Vegas, and Boston before returning back to Long Island.

The company is then expected to knock them down and build a 40,000-square-foot structure and a 12,000-square-foot structure at a cost of $1.5 million.

From Smithtown: T. Carlton's Spalon Shuts Down Overnight

Dozens of customers flocked to a popular Smithtown salon on Friday morning to find their appointments canceled and seek returns on unused gift cards.

From Commack: Commack Cook Brings Southern BBQ to Local Tables

Commack resident Ron Cusano may be a Yankee, but his love for Southern cuisine led him to create Big Bubba’s Smokehouse rubs from his home kitchen.

Cusano currently owns a printing company, but cooking was his first love. While living upstate, Cusano owned multiple restaurants and worked as a chef in Sullivan County. Having been a cook for more than 50 years, the chef created a variety of spice blends under the name Big Bubba’s Smokehouse, which are now being sold online. Cusano said that he plans to market the rubs to local grocery stores next week.
