A Daycare For the Four-Legged Set in Blue Point

There’s a new daycare in Blue Point, but it’s not for the toddler set unless they happen to be a four-legged canine pup. Fetch Doggie Daycare and Spa, which opened its doors in Blue Point at 76 Montauk Highway in the first week in August, provides daycare services for canines seven days a week as well as grooming services.

West Islip Shops Participating in Small Business Saturday
There are nearly a dozen West Islip stores and businesses participating in the upcoming Small Business Saturday event which is dedicated to helping local businesses during the holiday season and throughout the year. This year it takes place on Nov. 30, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Local residents are encouraged to shop locally and purchase services, gift and gift certificates from participating stores and plan any holiday events at local venues.

Queen City Cupcakes Closing For Now, May Get New Owner

Queen City Cupcakes originally announced on their Facebook Page Monday that they would be closing their doors "forever," but that might not be the case. According to a Thursday morning post on their page, the 62 W. Main St. cupcake and gift shop in Patchogue will be closed for the next few days but "if all goes well" it will be back under new ownership.

Santa Arrives at the Smith Haven Mall

You may not be in the Christmas spirit yet, but the  jolly old man in red has arrived at Smith Haven Mall. Santa will be in the mall's center court beginning at 10 a.m. everyday until Christmas Eve. Tuesday's light snow may be just the trick to get you to a visit with Father Christmas or more likely the shorter lines.

Mirabelle Chef Honored for Support of MS Center

Chef Guy Reuge is not only tops in the kitchen, but he is strong on his commitment to supporting MS research. Reuge, executive chef at Mirabelle and Three Village Inn, will be honored at the Foruth Annual Harvest Sunset Dinner at Villa Lombardi in Holbrook.
