Danfords Celebrates Silver Anniversary

Danfords celebrates 25 years in business this year and we got some old pictures from them to display from way back in 1986.

1986. Good old Teflon Ron was president, Halley's Comet came by for a visit and it was the year the Mets extended the curse of the Bambino right through Bill Buckner's legs, winning the World Series against the Red Sox in seven games. Gas was less than a dollar a gallon, a new home cost about $90,000 and the average salary was just over $22,000 per year. (Everything has quadrupled since 1986 except my annual salary. Go figure!)

It was also the year that opened at 25 East Main Street and a quarter century later they are looking for people who were married there in 1986 for a contest.

We asked Danfords to take a stroll down memory lane with some photos from 25 years ago.
