Did You Ever Shop at Roulstons Grocery Store on East Main Street?

Once located on East Main Street in Port Jefferson, Roustons is now the building where Toast is located.

Roustons Grocery Store was there in Port Jefferson when the village decided that it needed to connect the parking lot on Arden Place to East Main Street. Flanking the passway was Roustons on one side and Oettinger’s Variety Store on the other.

Roustons was located on the north side of the street where Toast stands now.

Patch wants to know if you remember Roustons Grocery Store? Did you know the owners? Did you ever shop there? Share your memories in the comments below.

The photo in this story comes from the historical archive of the village of Port Jefferson. For more photos of the passway project and Roustons Grocery Store click here.
