Complimentary Wine Tasting

Our tasting will feature Christian Bernard Gamay 2009 and Château Ollieux-Romanis Atal Sia 2008.  The Red Table is Christian Bernard's entire 2009 production of a special cuvee normally bottled as Cuvee des Cotes, made from 50+ year old hillside blocks of Gamay in Fleurie. The quality of this vintage along with the depth and beauty of this cuvee inspired a new label and look with each bottle being hand-dipped in red wax.  Atal Sia comes from a single vineyard blend of old vines in Boutenac which date as old as 109 years.  The grapes are whole cluster fermented and raised in cement- no oak in the equation.  A wonderful mash-up of 60% Carignan, 15% Grenache and 25% Mourvedre, this wine is full bodied and soft on the palate with exceptional aromatic intensity, it's perfect for red meats and strong, mature cheeses. We will be serving cheese from C'est Cheese on Main Street in Port Jefferson during our wine tasting.
