We will be tasting an Oriel Jasper Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2006 as well as a Château la Bouscade Les Sept Vents Syrah 2008. The Jasper is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes are cold soaked and punched down by hand before aging in French oak for 10 months. The nose displays raspberry, black cherry, and baking spices. The palate features deep black cherry with Mexican chocolate overtones, enveloped in silky tannins. The Les Sept Vents is a classic syrah from a vineyard between the Montagne Noir and Pyrenees, a region that features hot, windy days and cool nights. Matured in oak barrels for 14 months, this wine is characterized by soft plum fruit with spice and a nice, long finish. We will be pairing our wine with cheese from C'est Cheese on Main Port Jeff Village. We hope to have you with us on March 3rd!
