On Saturday, May 26, from 3 to 6 pm Vine to Wine will host a tasting featuring H & M Hofer Gruner Vetliner 2011 as well as Bohigas Brut Reserva Cava NV. The H & M Hofer offers a classic Gruner nose of lime, watercress, and lentils. This wine offers an irresistibly juicy palate of yellow plums and lemon with subtle notes of toasted grains. Hofer’s creamier style accommodates the vintage perfectly and results in an ultra-refreshing, delightful Austrian Wine. The Cava is a white sparkling blend from Spain that has a straw yellow color accompanied by golden hues. Aromas of apples and pears with some bakery notes in the nose are accompanied by a wonderfully persistent carbonation. This is an extraordinarily pleasant Cava, with a very small production.
