Our complimentary tasting will include a Francois Chindaine Clos Haberl 2009 as well as a Fattoria Poggiopiano Chianti Classico 2008. The Clos Haberl has a stunning bouquet of lemons, zest, pineapple and bee pollen. On the palate the wine is deep, full bodied, and complex with a great mid palate depth. Beautiful structure leads to a long snappy finish with a hint of grapefruit.
The Poggiopiano is a wine which Sangiovese fully releases its perfumes, from mature to prune, plums, tobacco, and liquor. Of great body and structure, this Chianti is in the same class as Felsina and Fontodi.
C'est Cheese will provide a soft ripened goat cheese produced in the Loire Valley, Bucheron's creamy, tangy flavor will pair well with the Clos Haberl. Piave Vecchio, a firm pressed Italian cowsmilk cheese boasts a fruity flavor and creamy texture that makes it a perfect pair for a Chianti Classico.
