On Saturday, May 19, from 3 to 6pm, Vine 2 Wine will be offering Sean Minor Pinot Noir 2009 as well as I Petri Falanghina 2007. Sean Minor is medium bodied with cherry, strawberry, and plum surrounded by light toast flavors. This wine displays blue fruit characteristics that are balanced and spicy with earthy notes that frame mid-palate. The vanilla and toast integrate well with silky round tannins on the lengthy finish. The Falanghina is grown on a hillside facing the south with excellent sun exposure. Aged for ten months, it sees no oak, however it still possesses a rich texture and wonderful body. The aromas are reminiscent of yellow fruit: bananas, pineapples, and apricots. All of this leads to, on a whole, a soft slightly dry wine with excellent finish. This is southern Italian wine with character.
