Updated: Food Changing For the Better at The Wave, Say Reviewers

Restaurant at Danford's has a new chef and according to a review in a local mag, it shows.

The Long Island Pulse recently reviewed Wave, the restaurant in and gave kudos to chef Jonathan Levine.

"Recently things began changing for the better," the Pulse's food reviewer, Richard Jay Scholem, reported. "Renamed Wave Seafood Kitchen by the new chef Jonathan Levine, the restaurant now offers a new concept and menu as well as name. Mr. Levine, who has made a number of trips around the culinary block since he attended Johnson & Wales University in his hometown of Miami, is pursuing a 'farm to table' regimen featuring fresh local produce and regional seafood."

While Scolem complimented the food, he seemed dissappointed with the service saying the Wave had an "affable but inexperienced, unpolished waitstaff."

Newsday also updated their listing of The Wave recently and food critic Peter Gianotti gave it three stars.

"The harborside spot seems cozier, even when the bar and lounge two steps away are going full blast," wrote Gianotti. "Subdued hues, streamlined decor and soft lighting contribute to the easygoing mood."
