Lines, Closed Pumps at Many Local Stations Ahead of Nemo

Ahead of expected blizzard drivers are fueling up.

With memories of the lines and shortages at gas stations after super storm Sandy hit the area last fall still fresh in people’s minds, drivers are lining up ahead of the expected blizzard to get fuel and some gas stations are already running out.

Cars lining up to get gas were spotted at the USA station in Port Jefferson village and at the Hess station on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station.

Mobil and Sunoco on Route 25A in Mt. Sinai were already out of gas as of 7 p.m. on Thursday.
