Local Business Hosting School Supply Drive

Stacy's Pattern Finders collecting school supplies for needy families.

Stacy Davidson from announced that she is hosting a school supply drive for families in need of extra help this year with a local outreach program.

"As expected, back to school this year poses financial problems for many local families," Davidson said.

She is having the back to school supply drive hosted in her store. Supplies shopuld be donated by Sept. 12.

According to Davidson many stores have huge specials on many of the items that are needed, including: pens, pencils, rulers, marble notebooks, college and wide-ruled loose-leaf, binders, folders, markers, scissors, erasers, glue sticks, and glue bottles.

They have plenty of spiral notebooks and back packs but "lunch carriers are be great as well," said Davidson.

Help out by dropping off any of the children's needs at the shop at 128 East Main Street in Port Jefferson by Sept. 12. The shop is open seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
