Long Island Dogs Goes Dark

The grand opening flags are still flying, but the windows are dark and the phone's been disconnected.

Long Island Dogs, an eatery specializing in hot dogs, appears to have closed its doors. Nearby business owners said the eatery closed around the July 4 weekend.

Patch previously reported that the eatery opened in April of this year. The location had turnover problems recently, as two ice cream shops failed to thrive in the space. An entrepreneur from Connecticut owned the business but could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.

Long Island Dogs was located in the Three Roads shopping center at Route 112 and Rose Avenue/Canal Road.
