New Spanish Grill to Take Over Former Costa de Espana Site

Plans are being drawn up for an autumn opening.

While many will argue that nothing can take the place of , which , a couple of locals with restaurant restoration experience are going to try, according to someone with knowledge of the new plans for the former site of the Spanish restaurant.

If you drive into Traders Cove, a collection of businesses surrounding the parking lot between East Main and Main Street on Arden Place, you’ll see the new banner unfurled over to the old Costa de Espana sign that reads: Coming Soon. La Parilla, A Spanish/American Grill.

Plans are being drawn up for submission to the Port Jefferson village building department. The new design is supposed to include upgrades to the bar area and floor plan among other changes. The owners are optimistically planning to open sometime this fall.
