Not Your Average Grilled Cheese Sandwich

C'est Cheese offers a list of grilled cheese sandwiches, from a classic with just cheddar to fontina, Swiss, goat cheese and others.

Grilled cheese: usually a quick option when nothing is left in the fridge, right? Slap a couple of pieces of cheese on two slices of bread, a little bit of butter maybe, and grab whatever side you can?

Not at C'est Cheese.

The cheese and craft beer shop on Main Street takes its cheese very seriously, which is reflected in its menu, offering seven – yes, seven – different styles of grilled cheese sandwiches.

The Peperone (pictured) comes with roasted red peppers, basil pesto and fontina cheese (mild, similar to Swiss). The Capra offers fig preserves and greens with goat cheese, with other offerings including brie, blue cheese and of course, The Classic – "lots of melted Cheddar."

"And we mean lots. It's dripping out," said Laura Ledwith, manager at the shop, which will be open for two years this September. While the menu offers more than the grilled cheese sandwiches – roasted turkey, cured meats and more – she said "people tend to gravitate toward the grilled cheeses. You can't get that at your average diner or deli."

Available on white, wheat or rye, the sandwiches come with a side salad with mustard shallot vinaigrette dressing, for $8.50.
