PHOTOS: Construction of New LA Fitness Progresses

Demolition has been completed and site preparation appears to be in progress for the new LA Fitness health club on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station. Patch first reported on the fitness chain's plans to build in Port Jefferson Station in July of 2012, at which point the project had the support of the Port Jefferson Station-Terryville Civic Association and other residents in the community. The new LA Fitness will be a 45,000 square foot, two-story fitness center on roughly 18 acres. The fitness chain also has a new location in Smithtown as well as locations in Lake Grove and Centereach.
