Port Jefferson Ferry Company Suspends Service
Company reports that the Port Jefferson ferry will be docked until after storm passes.
The Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry Steamboat Company has suspended all ferry service until Wednesday. An alert on the company's website states the following:
The ferry will not be running on Monday 10/29/2012 and Tuesday 10/30/2012 due to hurricane Sandy.
"Earliest possible restart is sometime on Wednesday," said Fred Hall, general manager of the ferry company in an email to Patch.
