The reggae music and caribbean decor at on Arden Place in Port Jefferson makes you feel like you've stepped off Main Street and onto Duval Street. (They even had a steel drum version of Barry Manilow's Copacabana playing.)
So this makes it a great place to duck out of the office for a late lunch when the sun is shining and the breeze is blowing off the Sound for a shrimp wrap that puts you in the minds of an island vacation.
The Dish: Key West Style Grilled Shrimp Wrap ($14)
What’s Inside: Grilled Shrimp, Tomato and Lime pico di Gallo,
Mix Greens inside a Tomato Wrap.
How’s It Taste: The flavor of this sandwich gently sways like a tropic breeze. The juices of the pico di gallo offers a fresh flavor that doesn't overpower the meaty shrimp bites. Holding it all together are the mixed greens inside a tomato wrap.
Sides: Generally sides aren't all that special but here it gets kind of interesting. The dish comes with french fries, which is no suprise but they also served up the wrap with a healthy helping of crunchy plantains, a very nice change from the usual side.
