Time Has Passed By This Classic Diner [Empty in Port Jeff]

Vacant diner on Main Street has old fashioned stainless steel look.

Formerly the Tropico Restaurant, this building at 1527 Main Street in Upper Port Jefferson has been around since the 1940s when it was built, according to an ad placed by its owner on Craigslist. Some of the plusses of this property is that comes with its own parking lot and has a full basement. The downside, is that although its very cool stainless steel diner design is sort of dilapidated.

The ad says that the diner is closed for business "due to partner disagreement." It's advertised as J2 Flexible commercial business zoning that allows for most retail and office uses and is 35 by 80 foot building on a 75 by 102 foot lot.

All this can be yours for $300,000.

The ad and the sign out front have the same phone number, but the person who answered the phone did not want to elaborate on the property listing to us for this article.
