Port Jefferson Free Library Teen Department Hosting Food Drive

Help us help local families in need!

Beginning today through Thursday, November 15th the Port Jefferson Free Library Teen Department will be hosting a Food Drive in conjunction with INTERFACE of Brookhaven Town. Donations collected from this drive will be used to help 800 families in need who reside in Brookhaven Town. Donation receptacles will be placed in both the Teen Center (150 East Main Street) and in the Main Library Building (100 Thompson Street).

The following items will be accepted for donations: canned fruits and vegetables, dry goods (pasta, rice, stuffing mix), canned meats, baking mixes (cake, brownie, cookie, muffin, bread) as well as gift cards from local grocery stores. Gift cards will help families buy turkeys and other perishable items for the holidays. All gift card donations will be accepted at any of the service desks in the Library.

Thank you for helping us help families in need!
